Our staff looks forward to speaking with you and helping make your reservation for adventure! The Great Smoky Mountains is a glorious land filled with adventures around every curve. And white water rafting in the Smokies is just the adventure for you!
White Water Rafting in Tennessee is on the Pigeon River. It flows from western North Carolina and east Tennessee, roughly parallel to Interstate 40 for many miles, and is impounded by Walters Dam (Waterville) before entering Tennessee where it flows into the French Broad River well above Douglas Dam. Walters Dam schedules regular water releases from Memorial Day through Labor Day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Rafting in the Smokies' River Outpost is located in Hartford (1-40 exit 447), just a scenic 45-minute drive from Gatlinburg.
Rafting in the Smokies offers two levels of white water rafting excitement for you. No experience necessary for either trip! All trips are fun for first-timers! Call for our Spring and Fall trip times and availability. Reservations are required.
